Hashtags are an important part of marketing your Real Estate business on social media. Nothing is more powerful for branding yourself in your niche and location. If used properly, hashtags can target your niche market. If used improperly they can be annoying, causing your social platforms to fall behind and reduce engagement and followers.
Hashtags should be carefull thought our and used strategically, especially in the Real estate Industry.
Every Real Estate agent should have a few niche signature branding hashtags that set them apart. These would include your city name, your name, brokerage or company name, county or any hashtag that can set apart your location. You can add “buyhomes” to your location hashtag and it would look like this: #buyhomesAtlanta or #sellhomesAtlanta. Then depending on the content of the post it is wise to rotate the general broad hashtags, but never use them all. It is also wise to NOT use the common general broad hashtags that can be overused. I advise that you do use a few of them, as needed, in certain posts that have a message directly related to the hashtag.
Power Tips:

Leverage the Power of the Hashtag With These 5 tips:
- Be sure to always include 2-3 top trending hashtags (like the Market American hashtags above) so readers who are interested in your content can find you.
- Do not include more then 10 hashtags per post, it can start to look spammy.
- Make sure your hashtags are relevant to that specific post.
- Research trending hashtags for your specific field (health, beauty) this will help you join the conversation and find others interested in similar topics.
- Spend some time interacting on others posts with hashtags in your field to help grow the conversation.
