3 terms Real Estate Agents need to stop using NOW in your real estate listings and on social media!

As a social media manager and coach for Real Estate agents across the US, we see so much, good and bad marketing.

Our goal is to help agents have engaging social media and build a creative brand that captures their audience and makes people remember them.

Part of that process involves stopping the use of outdated over used real estate terms and marketing slogans that have people rolling their eyes.  Agents must come up with content and marketing content of their own that is authentic and compelling from a marketing standpoint.

We found this article and wanted to share it. Remember every word used creates a visual and provokes thoughts in the minds of prospective buyers.

Location, location, location: This phrase is very outdated. It has been used over and over so many times that it has lost it’s punch. Consumers are looking for fresh interesting content and phrases. I have notice that people scroll right past real estate posts on social media that begin with those three words.

Hurry Won’t Last Long: This phrase does not motivate buyers to hurry and call. It gives the impression that the seller really wants to sell fast! It can also lead people to think the property might not be moving fast at all. This phrase has not proven to be a motivation to take action.

Priced to Sell: This statement has been used for so long. Most homes that are marketed this wasy are really not selling at all. Buyers on social media are responding to more positive ways of marketing. New terms are being used such as: “Price Amendment” or “Price Adjustment.”
